Lady Wolves blank Antlers
Heavener stayed close to the lead in District 3A-8 Thursday with a 6-0 win over Antlers.
Heavener improves to 15-4 overall and 6-1 in district play. Antlers, which lost earlier in the day to Howe in the Tushka Tournament is 1-16 and 1-5. Heavener plays at Tishomingo Tuesday in another district game.
Kinley Brand went the distance and got the win pitching for Heavener. Brand allowed four hits with seven strikeouts and no walks.
McKinley Alexander hit two doubles and was 2-4 with three RBI to pace Heavener offensively.
