Obituary for John Luman

John Paul Lumen, 57, of Heavener was born Jan. 17, 1964 in Poteau to James Preston and Iona Faye (Taylor) Luman and passed away July 18, 2021 in Hodgen.
John was a longtime resident of the area and a truck driver. He was of the Assembly of God faith. John loved spending time with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Church in Poteau with John Harris and Dalton Luman officiating. Per his request, his body was donated to the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Lumen, of the home; his mother, Iona Faye Parker, of Heavener; two sons Jeffrey L. Nohelty of Coalgate and Jeff Reeves of Tishomingo; two sisters
Syretha Lair and husband Robert of Edmond and Carolyn Harris and husband John of Poteau; three brothers James Luman of Heavener, Michael Luman and wife Billie of Heavener and Kenny Parker of Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews Angela Owen and husband Phillip of Ada,
Marisa Quinn and husband Jimmy of Edmond, Eric Lair and wife Christian of Oklahoma City, Maegan Baker and husband JR of Tahlequah, Trenton Luman and wife Jamiee of Monroe,
Dalton Luman and wife Makenzie of Heavener and Adrianna Luman of Heavener; numerous aunts, uncles, whole bunch of cousins, and host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Preston and a brother, Danny Luman.
