Obituary for Warren Stephens

Warren Evett Stephens,63, of Wister was born Dec. 31, 1957 in Oklahoma City to Warren Gamble and Betty June (Thomas) Stephens and passed away July 9, 2021 in Wister.
Memorial service is 4 p.m. Friday at his step-son, William Wilcox’s residence at 303 N. Ash Street in Red Oak with Reverend Charles Caughern officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Warren was a 1976 graduate of Heavener High School. He was a member of Summerfield Baptist Church. He enjoyed doing gunsmith and loved spending time with family and friends. Warren was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during peace time.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Mae Stephens, of the home; two daughters Hattie Faye Cuthbertson-Wilcox of West Yellowstone, Montana and Melissa Couture and husband Scott of Wichita, Kansas; one son, William D. Wilcox and Mary Cheesman of Red Oak; two sisters Tammie Marie Kirkland and husband Eric of Caddo, and Carolyn Sue Tedford of Arkansas; one brother, Martin A. Stephens and wife Sherry of Leonard, Texas; eight grandchildren
Matthew Wilcox, Cody Maxey, Derrick Jones, Felicia Eacret, Shayna Johnson and husband Austin, Samuel Cheesman, Rebecca Morgan and husband Jeremiah and Sarah Cheesman; several great-grandchildren Issac Cheesman, Charlie Cook, Lacy Cook, Rose Morgan, Mira Morgan, Colt Johnson, Kyla Wylie, Mason Maxey, John Swope, Cataryna Swope, Corbin West, Joseph Wilcox and Christian Maxey; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and host of friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren G. and Betty June (Thomas) Stephens.
