Services set for David Spiller Sr.
POTEAU – Memorial services for David Allen Spiller Sr., 81, of Poteau, are 10 a.m.Friday at the Free Will Baptist Church in Poteau.
Services are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
He passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at his home. He was born Nov. 10, 1939 in Portland, Maine to Walter Frank Ernest Sr. and Margaret Ann (Turner) Spiller. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1959-1963.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; daughter, Marie Spiller-Cravens; sons and daughters-in-law, David Jr. and Jamie Spiller and James and Shellie Spiller; brother, Gary Stokes; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.

My condolences to David’s family. I was an employee of Poteau schools for over 20 years and got to know David over the years. He always spoke and had a smile for everyone. I would see him working in Walmart and he always made it a point to speak and see how I was. He left an imprint in the lives of many people. He will be missed.
