Brackets have been released for this week’s baseball state tournaments.
Two LeFlore County teams made state in the higher classes after Wister went to state in Class A.
Poteau (27-11) is returning to the Class 4A state tournament and the Pirates play Heritage Hall (26-5) 10 a.m. Thursday at Shawnee High School.
The Poteau/Heritage Hall winner plays the Marlow/Berryhill winner 11 a.m. Friday, also at Shawnee High School.
Howe (30-6) reached the Class 2A state tournament, the school’s first trip to the state tournament. The Lions open with Christian Heritage (27-6) 7 p.m. Thursday at Dolese Park in Oklahoma City.
The Howe/Christian Heritage winner plays the Hartshorne/Dale winner 2 p.m. Friday at Dolese Park.
