Red Oak rallies to defeat Wister

RED OAK – Red Oak used a big sixth inning to put away a 20-10 win over Wister Tuesday in slow pitch softball.
Wister is 28-8 and plays Gore at 2:15 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting, in a 3A regional at Calera. Red Oak improves to 29-7.
The Lady Wildcats had an 8-1 lead before Red Oak rallied. The score was only 13-10 before the Lady Eagles scored seven times in the bottom of the sixth to finish the contest by run-rule.
Jordan Makovy went 3-3 with two runs to lead Wister, Hattie Pate homered twice and was 2-2 with five RBI and two runs, Kate Hammons homered and doubled while finishing 2-4 with two RBI and a run, Kinley Branscum homered and had a 2-3 game with two RBI and a run, McKenna Pierce was 2-3 with a run and a RBI and Triniti McCoy went 2-3 with a run.
