WHITESBORO – Whitesboro scored five times in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat Clayton, 14-13, in slow pitch softball Monday.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 23-7 going into Thursday’s Class A regional at Roff. Whitesboro plays Turner at 2:15 p.m. Clayton is 20-10.
Clayton held a 13-9 lead going into the bottom of the seventh. After Whitesboro rallied to tie the score at 13, Darah Cole singled to score Hope Bailey with the winning run.
Linley Collins tripled twice and was 5-5 with two RBI and two runs, Hannah Abeyta doubled and went 3-4 with two RBI and a run, Cole was 3-5 with three RBI, Kinley Barron homered and doubled in a 2-3 game with three runs and a RBI, Kayleigh Walker hit a home run and went 2-5 with four RBI and two runs, Sam Craig went 2-4 with a run and Bailey doubled while going 1-4 with two runs.
