Commissioners approve contract

POTEAU – After considerable discussion, LeFlore County commissioners on Monday approved a contract between the Assessor’s Office and Arkansas CAMA Technologies to conduct property evaluations.
The $138,000 contract will be evaluated again in a year.
Commission Chairman Craig Olive said he was concerned that the deal could result in jobs lost in the Assessor’s Office and said he would rather see the job done by a local company rather than an out-of-state firm. CAMA Technologies is headquartered in Fayetteville with an office in Van Buren and other cities in Arkansas.
