Pirates move into first place

SALLISAW – Poteau moved into first place in the District 4A-8 baseball race with a 9-1 win at Sallisaw Monday.

The two teams were tied for the district lead before the Pirates’ win. Poteau improves to 18-6 and 8-1 while the Black Diamonds are 18-10 and 9-2.

They play again Tuesday at Poteau.
