LeFlore County did not have any new coronavirus cases in Friday’s report by the Oklahoma State Department of Health, for the third straight day.

According to the state, there have not been any new cases, recoveries or deaths from complications to the virus.

The Poteau Valley Genealogy Society meets Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Patrick Lynch Library at Poteau.

Jack D. Pace, 71, of Shady Point was born March 14, 1950 in Bonham, Texas to Floyd Elbert and Beatrice Rogenia (Story) Pace and passed away March 15, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with Brother Sam Dyer officiating.

Funeral services for Elizabeth Perry, 81, of Poteau, are 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Poteau with Rev. Jim Perkin officiating.

Burial will follow at the Oakland Cemetery, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.

The service will be live-streamed at poteaufumc.com.

Funeral services for Mary “Mikey” Fowler, 81, of Spiro are 11 a.m. Saturday at the Victory Worship Center in Spiro with burial to follow at the Spiro City Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

She passed away March 18, 2021 and was born Sept. 3, 1939.
