PVIA to test new technology

New technology will be put in place at the Lake Wister water treatment plant, after Poteau Valley Improvement Authority members approved a three-month trial on Monday night.
PVIA Manager James Morrison proposed leasing the trithalomanes testing unit for $15,000. He said after three months, PVIA could put the $15,000 toward the $74.950 total cost of the machine, or opt to rent it for $6,000 a month. It would be paid off after 12 months.
