Winter warnings, watches continue

A winter storm warning remains in effect until Monday at noon while a wind chill warning remains in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday while a winter storm watch is in effect from Tuesday evening through late Wednesday night.

Dangerously wind chills as low as 30 below zero through Monday night. For the winter storm warning, moderate to heavy snow is expected with additional snow accumulations of up to two inches.

Under the winter storm watch, heavy snow is possible Tuesday night through Wednesday night, with additional snow accumulations of four to 10 inches possible.

Travel could be very difficult. Blowing snow could reduce visibility with snow drifts on roads of one to two feet possible. Sporadic and short-lived power outages are possible with the gusty north winds.

Outside activities are to be avoided if possible. When outside, wear appropriate clothing with a hat and gloves. If travel is necessary, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of emergency.
