Coronavirus cases in Poteau spike



LeFlore County had 58 new coronavirus cases in Saturday’s report by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

Poteau had 40 new cases, the highest single-day total for any city, Wister had 10 while Bokoshe, Cameron, Heavener, Howe, Panama, Pocola, Spiro and Talihina each had one.

Active cases are 291, up three from Friday. The county has now had 4,812 cases, 4,482 recoveries and 38 deaths from complications due to the virus.
