New scholarship established at CASC



POTEAU – Bob and Deanna Reed have established the Colonel Gary Adams, #3 Chief of Oklahoma Highway Patrol Memorial Scholarship at Carl Albert State College to honor the memory of Adams and his dedication and service to his family, friends, community, state and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. 

Adams passed away Dec. 4, 2020, in Norman.

The Norman resident joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1968.  He was promoted to the rank of Captain in 1986 and to Colonel (Chief) in 1996.  Adams, the longest serving chief in the history of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, retired in 2006 after 38 years.
