HOWE – Howe completed a sweep of the 2021 LeFlore County Tournament Saturday night as the Lady Lions defeated Pocola, 72-48.
Howe’s boys earlier won over Panama, 72-50. It was the first time a school has swept the tournament since Pocola in 1991 and only the 14th time in the tournament’s 89 years.
This was the Howe girls’ seventh straight tournament championship, tying Spiro’s record for most consecutive years of winning the LCT.
Whitesboro swept the third-place games at Heavener. The Lady Bulldogs overcame a large deficit early to beat Heavener, 45-41, before downing Spiro, 52-43.
