A Wister man in the 50-64 age group has passed away due to complications from coronavirus, according to the Oklahoma Department of Health.
He is the second Wister resident and the 36th LeFlore County person to pass. The county had 25 new cases with Poteau having five, Heavener and Pocola both had four, Talihina three, Howe, Shady Point and Spiro all had two, while Arkoma, Bokoshe and Wister each had one.
Active cases are 350, down 11 from Thursday. LeFlore County has now had 4,563 cases, 4,177 recoveries and the 36 deaths from complications of the virus.
