Coronavirus cases continued its recent surge in LeFlore County with 72 new cases in Sunday’s report by the Oklahoma Department of Health.
The county has 292 new cases in the last four reports. Poteau had 21 new cases, Heavener had 12, Spiro nine, Wister seven, Pocola and Talihina each had six, Bokoshe had three, Cameron, Howe, Panama and Shady Point each had two.
Active cases are 469, up from 445 Saturday. Total cases are 3,729, recoveries are 3,249 and there have been 29 deaths from complications due to the virus.
