Lady Panthers outscore Heavener Friday

Heavener’s Kinlee Free goes in for a layup as Stigler’s Saylee Smith reaches out to try and stop her.

Stigler’s Chloe Smith and Saylee Smith combined for 56 points as the Lady Panthers (1-1) outscored Heavener, 84-69, in a Black Diamond Conference game Friday to close out the first semester.

The game was originally scheduled to be played last week, but was postponed due to coronavirus problems with the Lady Wolves. Heavener was supposed to play in a tournament at Savanna this week, but it was also canceled due to coronavirus problems.

Heavener is 2-1 and plays Wilburton at home Jan. 5.
