County again sets record for coronavirus cases

LeFlore County set another record for new coronavirus cases in Wednesday’s report by the Oklahoma Department of Health, the second time in a week.

After breaking the record with 47 Nov. 18, the county had 51 new cases for Wednesday. Poteau had 16, Pocola nine, Panama six, Cameron and Shady Point four, Heavener, Spiro and Talihina all had three, Bokoshe added two and Howe had one.

The county now has 284 active cases, up 18 from Tuesday. LeFlore County has had 2,355 cases, 2,045 recoveries and 26 deaths from coronavirus or complications from the virus.
