Obituary for Ginger Morgan

Virginia Darlene Morgan, known as Ginger, 78, of Summerfield was born Oct. 18, 1941 in Urivan, Colorado to Leonard James and Ruby (Kilpatrick) Ridenour. She left this earth Oct. 6, 2020 in Heavener after a long battle with lung cancer that was exacerbated by coronavirus.

Memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

It would be wrong to say that Ginger lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined to go back home. When anyone else would have broken, Ginger stayed strong through her we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like. There was no quit in Ginger. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.

Ginger was a long-time resident of the area and a cook. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her loving long-term companion, Charlie Griffith, of Summerfield; one daughter, Kendra Voiles, of Cleburne; three sons Brad Buchert of Poteau, Bobby Buchert of Indian Springs, Nevada, and Justin Buchert of Dallas, Texas; four sisters Betty, Rosy, Sarah and Joyce; one brother, Jimmy Don; 10 grandchildren Bradley and wife Ashley, Brandon, Gary Matthew and wife Britni, Zac, Cherokee and husband Ronnie, Laura Samantha, Tracie and husband Kevin, Danielle and husband Jackie, Joshua and Logan; 13 great-grandchildren Brooks Beckham, Brant, Gage, Asus, Gracie, Sarah, Abigail, Rachelle, Joshua, Cheyan, Charlie, Ashley and Jacklyn; six great-great-grandchildren Brandon, Madison, Gavin, Riley, Hudson and Logan; numerous other loved ones and dear friends

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son that went to heaven as a baby, John Jay; three sisters Mable, Boulah, and Linda; and two brothers John Robert and Billy Mark.

Ginger looked forward to walking in the field of heaven with her beloved Belgium-Shepherd Zeta.
