SUMMERFIELD – Judith Box, 77, of Summerfield, was born Jan. 3, 1943 in Guthrie to Charles and Edith (Harris) Lowry and passed away Oct. 5, 2020 in Poteau.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, with Bro. Kenny Matlock officiating. Burial will follow at Summerfield Cemetery, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.
Judith was a long-time resident of the area and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing games on her computer, fishing and sewing.
Surviving family members are her husband, Earl, of the home; four daughters Sheryl Williams and husband James of Kansas, Charlene Judkins of Panama, Jean Fetters of Wister, and Janice Loyd and husband Stanley of Summerfield; four sons John Box and wife Jackie of Whitesboro, James Box and wife Sheila of Pocola, Jerry Box and wife Barbara of Cameron, and Jackie Box and wife Barbara of LeFlore; 32 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Walter Yandell; one daughter; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Brook Pearson, Stanley Loyd, Sammy Loyd, Rodney Duncan, Dempsey Poor and Mike Poor.
Honorary pallbearers are Rick Wheat, Jearld McBride and Nathan Childs.
Viewing is from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday with the family visiting with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
