SHAWNEE – Heavener’s fast pitch softball team lost a pair of games to tough competition Saturday.
The Lady Wolves lost to defending Class 4A champion Newcastle, 4-3, in their first game before coming up short against Kiowa, the two-time defending Class B state champions, 5-4, in extra innings.
Heavener, 19-12, hosts Pocola in a district game Monday.
