Howe drops games to Newcastle, Ripley

SHAWNEE – Newcastle and Ripley scored narrow wins over Howe in the Firelake Festival Saturday.

Newcastle, the defending 4A state champion, managed a 3-2 win while Ripley, ranked fourth in Class A, got a 7-6 victory.

Howe goes to Wilburton Monday for a district game.
