Heavener’s Ryan Moore had the best game of his career Friday night at Central Sallisaw running the ball.
The senior rushed for 229 yards on 31 carries and scored two PATs.
Unfortunately for the Wolves, Central’s David Briggs had an even bigger game. Briggs rushed for 326 yards on 29 carries and four touchdowns in the Tigers’ 44-16 victory.
The loss leaves Heavener at 1-2 heading into the district opener at home against Cascia Hall next week. Central, which had lost at Panama and Pocola, improves to 1-2 and hosts Colcord in a district game Friday.
