POTEAU – Damages caused by last week’s flooding probably won’t total enough to qualify for federal emergency funding, LeFlore County Commission Chairman Lance Smith said at Monday’s weekly meeting.
The rains did cause significant damage to several roads and bridges, however. Smith said damage in District 2 appeared to total well over $100,000. The threshold for Federal Emergency Management Agency aid is $6 million, although that could be spread over several counties.
