LeFlore County reported 20 new coronavirus cases Sunday, according to the Oklahoma Department of Health.
Heavener had 12 cases, Poteau six, and Pocola and Spiro each had one. This was the most new cases in a day for Heavener since Aug. 6, when there were 14 new cases.
The county currently has 169 active cases, up .9 percent from Saturday. There have been 660 cases with 485 recoveries and six deaths.
Heavener School officials announced Sunday the school will go to distance learning for the next two weeks because of the high number of cases.
